Sonata House is a music and language academy located in Thian Thale, Bangkok. The main purpose of the recent renovations is to brighten the overall feeling of the space, including the leisure area, the reception, and a new inner stage.
Replacing the existing outer full-height brick wall with a solid yet transparent wall with linear fenestration on the top brings both natural light and better air ventilation to the interior. The usage of glass blocks as the main material for the wall results in a bright, fun, and comfortable living space. The gentle curve of the glass blocks at the corner of the school aims to give a sense of playfulness to all the students who come to learn at Sonata House.
